Our Fibreglass garage doors are fabricated right here in South Africa by us, using moulded fibreglass to create the required garage door panels. Fibreglass doors are ideal for coastal areas, as the fibreglass will not be weathered by the salty sea air or the harsh South African sun. Fibreglass itself may fade but our doors are built to be an investment that will last you many years.
Sectional overhead doors should be installed if your garage is near the boundary of your property or if there is limited space available in your driveway in front of the garage. Sectional overhead doors open upwards, directly overhead into the ceiling of the garage. They are split into five sections and when fully opened, they leave the full opening of the garage available, as opposed to tip up doors which open up and outwards of your garage.
Sectional garage doors can include a flip over panel. Having a flip over panel means, that when the door is in the closed position, the top panel will still be in a slanted open position, which the motor will then push closed onto the lintel. If a flip over panel is installed, a motor is essential to the door closing fully.
Fibreglass sectional overhead garage doors come fitted with a rubber seal creates a complete seal against the floor. This seal prevents dust etc, from entering the garage. Side seals are available on request for the outside of your garage door to prevent further dust and water from entering your garage making your garage weather proof.
Fibreglass tilt up garage doors are available in either a horizontal slatted or cardinal block (block) panels. It is however, important to note that if you opt for the block option, and your door is not a standard size, we would need to consult as to whether the blocks will be cut off at any points on the door. If the size results in blocks having to be cut, it may be preferable to go with the slats.
Horizontal slatted fibreglass doors are more expensive than the traditional raised and fielded garage doors. Raised and Fielded garage doors are elegant, low maintenance garage doors that are also durable and strong. The robust design and construction of our doors make it a great option for homeowners and property developers in search of a classic look.
Tilt up doors should be installed only if your garage is not on the boundary or if there is enough space in your driveway, in front of the garage, for the whole door to flip up and out of your garage. A car or anything for that matter, cannot be parked directly in front of the garage doors if you need them to open withoout causing damage to the door or the item infront of it.
Tilt up garage doors need 200mm head room, from the bottom of the lintel to the bottom of the ceiling or rafters in the garage, for installation. Bare in mind that when the door is in the open position, your garage will lose approximately 100mm of headroom.
